Hello from Uganda

HARPER FAMILY

As we settled back into our life in Uganda (following our furlough), we continued ministering alongside our sweet friends in the refugee camp as well as our local Ugandan friends. Since our time serving with YWAM Arua had wrapped up prior to our furlough time, we had spent time praying about what God had next for our family. This is when God opened the sweetest of doors to work alongside a ministry that is dear to our hearts as well as giving us the privilege of ministering alongside our sweet friends Mike & Megan Elkins. We were thrilled to be walking hand in hand with the very family that we originally felt called to GO to the nations with back in 2013! We returned to Northern Uganda on April 1st as staff with His Voice Global.

We have spent the past 10+ months continuing to serve vulnerable women and children, aid in restoring communities as well as work to rebuild relationships as we disciple the next generations of South Sudanese. There are many parts to what our team does but doing life with college students is the core of what we do because they are the future.

We continue to walk in a season of "SLOWING DOWN,"  and being still so that we are more present with whoever is right in front of us. We returned to language lessons after the new year and are beginning to speak more and more. It is fun and hard! Our continued prayer is that God will use us to disciple, love & serve those that we do life with here and that in the end God would receive all the glory!

And...we are now grandparents to Kinsley Diane, born on January 8th!!!
