Finishing Strong: Confronting Poverty
The one who shuts his ears to the cry of the poor will himself also call out and not be answered. - Proverbs 21:13
Two years of the pandemic has been incredibly destructive to the developing world. 100 million people have been pushed into extreme poverty during the pandemic. That puts the global total for people living in extreme poverty at over 700 million people. Extreme Poverty in this case is defined as living on less than $2 per day.
One of our biggest priorities is CONFRONTING POVERTY. We do this through strategic projects that allow people to be empowered to a higher level of living. We see this accomplished by providing clean water, education, women’s empowerment, refugee relief, child nutrition, community healthcare, COVID relief, micro-business development, and leadership training. We provide tools all around the world to rescue families from extreme poverty.
These projects have allowed us to impact thousands of people this year in ways that have kept them alive, given them a hand-up to move forward, changed their trajectory through clean water, empowering new leaders, and most importantly introduced them to the GOOD NEWS of Jesus.
We are CONFRONTING POVERTY every single day, and the GOOD we are doing TOGETHER is making an incredible impact for thousands of those 700 million people. We are reducing that number one life at a time.
