CREATING POTENTIAL THROUGH MICRO-ENTERPRISE
Sustainable freedom from poverty is about giving people a hand up, not a handout. Links has established successful micro-enterprise development (MED) initiatives from Uganda, Malawi, and Kenya, in Africa; to Colombia and Peru in Latin America and Nepal, India, and The Philippines in Asia. The careful selection of local administrators with ongoing support and advice has resulted in a very high loan repayment rate (over 90%). Once the original loan is repaid, the money is recycled, giving others in their community the same opportunity.
We believe in seeing people empowered to break the cycle of poverty and to step into their destinies.
MEET MARIE: MED CASE STUDY
Marie has received two loan cycles in Malawi. She invested this capital into her Tea Room business. Her business provides fresh bread, hot tea, and rice to customers. Marie's business supports her household of eight people.
The financial empowerment of vulnerable women creates more resilient families. When you financially empower women and they are given an opportunity to develop entrepreneur skills, you will see holistic changes within the household.
Micro-enterprise and business training achieves so much more than simply providing income for food, clothing, and education. It empowers, restores dignity, and ensures sustainable poverty relief.

Equipped and empowered leaders are a secret weapon to creating potential in those we serve around the world. Our aim is to raise up servant leaders, who will confront the status quo by being an ongoing catalyst for change. It has been exciting to see how villages, communities, and even Chiefdoms have been transformed as community leaders have grown in honesty, integrity, stewardship, and servanthood.
