Zimbabwe in Malawi

MALAWI

Thank you so much for being a part of our mission trip to Malawi, it was a 4-day Conference and we were guests of honor. It was a blessed time.

Malawi is a very poor country in east Africa. People are struggling. They have a serious shortage of fuel and as a result, there are miles of fuel lines daily. We were a team of 6 from Zimbabwe, others drove, but on the last day of the conference, they could not find fuel to return to Zimbabwe, so they were stuck in Lilongwe for 4 days. Finally, they managed to get just enough to get them to the Mozambique border then they filled up.

Anway, in all that chaos, 500 people attended the conference and it was a blessing to see so many people hungry for God in Lilongwe. Our host Isaac has already invited us back to Malawi for coaching leaders on how to run their own business for self-reliance purposes. There is a serious hunger for God but their limitation is a lack of training.

“I believe that when Malawi leaders become fully trained, they will be empowered to reach their destiny.”

One of their economical restrictions is that they don't have much to export except fish and rice, which is not enough to bring them enough foreign currency. However, there is hope because there are leaders there who have a heart for their people.

ZIMBABWE

God has been showing us a new strategy to reach more people in Zimbabwe. Pastors are aging and do not have any replacement plan until recently. The plan is to recruit the under 20 year olds to be developed for the challenge. We have been able to register 25 young people to train as future leaders. They have enrolled with excitement. This program will start as an online program, and they will meet once a month for 1 year then we will review their progress. It's a demanding program, but it can be done. I think to have this kind of response is a tremendous blessing. We are all excited about this development.

SCHOOL REPORT

Currently, we have 100 kids and we are looking forward to even greater enrollment this next January when the school year begins. The kids are on cloud nine with their new desks and chairs. Thank you for being a part of this program.
