Casa Vida: El Salvador Update
David and Rebeca Cuchillas recently planted a new church, Casa Vida, which meets in their home and serves communities throughout San Salvador and beyond. The ministry is growing strong, and we’re excited to share their story with you and give you a glimpse of what God is doing in El Salvador.
EL SALVADOR UPDATE
September has been a month of continued growth, service, and opportunities to make the Kingdom of God visible in very practical ways.
Because of your prayers, generosity, and partnership, we have been able to disciple people, develop leaders, serve vulnerable families, care for those in need, and share the hope of the Gospel. We wanted to share what God is doing and invite you to pray with us for what comes next.
Casa Vida — Growing Strong
Casa Vida continues to grow—not only in numbers, but in depth.
This season has been about laying a strong foundation. We are intentionally creating spaces for discipleship, leadership development, pastoral care, and spiritual formation.
We are especially encouraged to see people beginning to take ownership of the mission of Casa Vida and discovering ways to serve according to their gifts. These may seem like small steps, but we believe God is using them to build a healthy and sustainable church community.
Pray with us that God would continue to grow Casa Vida in spiritual maturity, raise up leaders, and draw people into deeper relationship with Jesus.
Medical Outreach in El Tular
This month, we also had the opportunity to serve the community of El Tular through a medical outreach in partnership with Legado ES, FOV, and a team of 15 medical professionals from the United States.
Together, we provided general medical evaluations for approximately 80 adults and children. We are also planning follow-up care for those who were identified with more vulnerable or urgent medical needs, helping connect them with resources and continued care.
Each person who came had an opportunity to be heard, prayed for, and reminded that they are seen and loved by God. We were able to share the Gospel and pray individually with those who came, connecting practical care with the hope of Jesus.
We are grateful that God allows us to serve both the physical needs people are carrying today and the deeper need for hope found in Christ.
Pray for those who were seen during the outreach, especially those who need additional medical care. Pray that the seeds planted through conversations, prayer, and the Gospel would continue to bear fruit.
Casa Vida Outreach — Serving Families at Bloom
One of the most meaningful opportunities we have had this month has been our continued outreach at Hospital Nacional de Niños Benjamín Bloom.
Each Sunday, we visit the hospital to provide a simple breakfast and refreshments to parents whose children are hospitalized. Through this ministry, we have been able to serve approximately 200 parents and families each week.
In those moments, a breakfast can become much more than a meal. It can become an opportunity to sit with a mother or father, listen to their story, share the Good News of Jesus, and pray for healing, strength, peace, and hope.
This is what we believe it means to make the Kingdom visible—not simply talking about God's love, but demonstrating it through presence, compassion, prayer, and practical service.
You are part of these stories.
Your generosity helps create opportunities for ministry. Your prayers strengthen the people serving on the ground. And your partnership allows us to continue showing up in places where people are hurting and need to experience the love of Christ.
Would you pray with us this month for:
Casa Vida — that God would deepen discipleship, raise up leaders, and establish a strong, healthy church community.
El Tular — for continued care for those with medical needs and for the Gospel seeds planted during the outreach.
Families at Bloom — for healing of these children, strength for their parents, and opportunities for our team to share the hope and love of Jesus.
Our ministry teams — for wisdom, endurance, compassion, and a continual dependence on the Lord.
What comes next — that God would open the right doors and give us courage to walk through them.
Thank you for believing in this work and for being part of it with us. We are deeply grateful that we don't have to do this alone.
Together, we get to make the Kingdom visible—one person, one family, and one opportunity at a time.
