I'll never forget when I heard our founder, Norman Barnes, preach for the first time. There are so many memorable things he's continued to impart over the years, but one of my favorites is that "God only has Plan A...and it's us!" He would go on to say that the Church is God's Plan A, and there is no Plan B. Our heart is always to empower the local church to engage effectively into international mission.

We are not a replacement or substitute for Church. We are a resource to help the people of God - the Church - to live as deeply on mission as they are called to do.

We love our time with church leaders and pastors as we work together to take the good news of Jesus to the ends of the earth.

Sometimes our relationships with churches bring opportunities we didn't see coming, and that's been the case for me recently. Grace Community Church in Houston has been one of our partner churches for a long time, and that created the relationship that opened the door for them to reach out to me about becoming their next Senior Pastor. Through a series of "only God" moments over the past few months, we have accepted that invitation. Effective March 1st, I became the Senior Pastor of Grace Houston.

Our transition has been a blessing as we were sent out by Renaissance Church, where we've been serving for the past 4 years. We are so grateful for their love and support both through the years and as we embark on a new ministry.

Links has been a crucial part of our life and ministry for nearly 20 years, and will continue to be as we move forward. I will continue to serve as Board President and Executive Director, but members of our team will be taking bigger roles in our day to day rhythms. The work of Links is as strong as ever, and there is no indication of that changing. In fact, our obedience in this new direction has already opened up new opportunities, and I believe this is a capacity building step for both Links and me.

If you're looking for a church in the Houston area, I'd love to invite you to come and be a part of what we feel God has called us into. We are in the epicenter of the most diverse city in the US, and we believe that is strategic on God's part. The nations live here on every street, and we are looking forward to reaching the ends of the earth by reaching the people of Houston.

Please reach out to me with any questions, and thank you for your ongoing support of Links. Great things are happening!
