Summer on Mission: Week 5
We are thrilled to share a powerful update from the Jiquilisco Bay area—a region in El Salvador currently served through various ongoing, community development projects led by Links International.
In a strategic partnership with the Global Mission Department of the Assemblies of God, 10 pastors representing various churches across the area gathered for a historic distribution of Bibles and a Discipleship Commissioning event. Each pastor received 200 Bibles, equipping them to impact their communities directly. However, this gathering went far beyond a simple hand-out; it was a commissioning ceremony designed to launch a deep discipleship movement, challenging each leader to intentionally walk alongside and disciple 200 individuals.
Beyond the distribution, the event served as a vital space to host all 10 pastors together to share a meal and experience community. For these leaders, it was a refreshing opportunity to strengthen their bonds, encourage one another, and strategically coordinate future activities. Coming together around the table, they stood not as isolated ministries, but as one church working together for the betterment and transformation of the region.
