Summer on Mission: Week 6
When people think of Links International, they often think of the ministries we talk about most frequently. But across our three offices in the USA, the UK, and Africa, we are currently serving alongside ministry partners in more than 48 countries around the world. Some of these locations cannot be publicly identified for the safety of those serving there, while others represent trusted partnerships that continue to strengthen the global Church.
No country is easy to serve in. Every culture, community, and ministry brings its own unique challenges. The countries highlighted here represent some of the most difficult places to faithfully share the Gospel...where war, persecution, poverty, political instability, economic hardship, and humanitarian crises make ministry especially demanding. Yet, God is at work in every one of them.
Behind each country is a story of faithful believers proclaiming the hope of Jesus with courage and perseverance. We invite you to become familiar with just a few of these ministries—not only to celebrate what God is doing, but also to faithfully pray for those serving on the front lines.
Mexico

Challenges & Prayer
Mexico continues to face political instability, widespread cartel violence, corruption, and the displacement of entire communities. Pray for protection over church leaders, wisdom for believers, opportunities for the Gospel to flourish, and that the hope of Jesus would shine brightly in the midst of uncertainty.
Caribbean Island

Frequent power outages, limited medical care, transportation challenges, civil unrest, and ongoing violence make ministry difficult. Pray for pastors and ministry workers whose salaries are often insufficient to meet basic needs as they work hard to plant churches, shepherd people, and spread the Gospel throughout the island.

The war in Ukraine continues to create instability, displacement, and economic hardship. Pray for protection over ministry teams, children vulnerable to exploitation, refugee families, transition homes for at-risk youth, and retreat ministries providing rest for exhausted ministry workers and soldiers.

Challenges & Prayer
Northern Uganda continues to experience poverty, refugee needs, crime near international borders, and economic hardship. Pray for vulnerable families, refugees, indigenous church leaders, and that the retreat center would continue to be a place of restoration, encouragement, and Gospel renewal.

Many communities face extreme poverty, religious persecution, slavery, human trafficking, violence against women and children, and limited access to education and basic resources. Pray for protection over believers, continued opportunities to serve with compassion, and that lives would be transformed through both practical care and the hope of the Gospel.

Many families struggle with poverty, educational barriers, and limited opportunities. Ministry is also affected by natural disasters, infrastructure challenges, and security concerns in some regions. Pray that children would flourish, families would be strengthened, and communities would encounter the transforming love of Christ.
Sadly, there are other countries we cannot share more about, but we are privileged to support these missionaries and more by providing missionary care, leadership training, financial oversight, ministry support, and global connections that strengthen and sustain long-term Gospel work. These partnerships are making disciples, strengthening local churches, equipping leaders, caring for vulnerable communities, and sharing the hope of Jesus Christ where it is needed most.
