Summer on Mission: Week 8

Next week, Jason, Holly, and Jacob Bollinger, along with a team from Grace Houston and our El Salvador Country Directors, David and Rebe Cuchillas, and their family, will be traveling to Nicaragua, July 31–August 7, to serve alongside our ministry partners at The Hope Project.

We believe missions is more than simply going somewhere—it is joining in with what God is already doing.

Through this 10+ year partnership, and their incredible and ongoing work each and every day, we have the opportunity to serve The Hope Project in ways that address both immediate needs and long-term transformation. Our team will be joining The Hope Project team in a variety of ministry opportunities, including:

  • Water filter distribution and healthcare training

  • Food distribution, shoe distribution, caring for vulnerable children

  • Home visits, prayer walking, and community outreach

  • Vocational skills training

  • Bible study and teaching

  • Leadership training; encouraging and equipping local leaders

  • Local church ministry

Our desire is not simply to come in and do something for the people of Nicaragua, but to serve those who are already faithfully working there. We want to help meet practical needs, build meaningful relationships, strengthen local leaders and churches, participate in the work God is already doing through The Hope Project, and share the hope of the Gospel.

As we serve, we pray that every conversation, every home visit, every training, every prayer, and every practical act of service would point people toward the love and hope found in Jesus.

Would you join us in helping our team as we prepare and travel?

  • Please pray for safety, health, meaningful connections, wisdom for our team, strength for our ministry partners, and lasting spiritual and practical impact in the communities we serve.

  • Would you also consider giving toward the general costs of our trip or helping someone else go? Every gift—no matter the size—helps make it possible for our team to serve alongside The Hope Project and bring hope to Nicaragua. Even a few dollars can make a huge difference!

Thank you for praying, giving, and going with us. We truly believe that we are better together—and that when the Church works together, the hope of the Gospel goes further.
